The VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System (VASNHCS) Dietetic Internship Program is located in Reno, NV! Our 31-week (1240 hour) program provides hands-on supervised practice across clinical nutrition, food service and clinical management, community nutrition, and specialty rotations. The program features a concentration in Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) using the Nutrition Care Process. We utilize an interdisciplinary team approach to deliver high-quality care to the Veterans we serve. Through this experience, interns gain the skills and confidence needed to become competent-entry level dietitians and future leaders in the field. Interns will begin online graduate coursed through University of Alabama in June with the internship beginning in August. All rotations are arranged by the internship director. on successful completion of the program requirements, a VA Certification of Program Completion and the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) Verification Statement will be awarded.
