Annual Conference Aimed at Infant and Toddler Educators

February 21, 2025

Child Development Resources (CDR) organized a state-wide conference highlighting the significance and unique aspects of infant and toddler development. Co-sponsored by the Alabama Infant Toddler Specialist Network (housed in CDR) and the Alabama Department of Human Resources, the event introduced the first Infant-Toddler Teaching Credentialing system for educators working with infants and toddlers in the state of Alabama.

During the conference, attendees had the opportunity to engage with colleagues and hear from nationally renowned speakers who specialize in teaching, clinical practice, and research focused on the needs and behaviors of young children and supporting the workforce that cares for them.

Participants explored various topics, including the importance of early relationships, strategies for teaching children with special support needs, the science behind early movement and its developmental impact, and methods for fostering strong parent partnerships through relationship-based practices.

The conference welcomed childcare center-based and family care educators serving infants and toddlers along with administrators overseeing infant-toddler programs throughout Alabama.
