LEARN BY DESIGNING

CTD students research, sketch, build, present, critique, style, analyze, collaborate, and solve problems through hands-on creative work. From first-year foundations to senior-level projects, students learn how to move ideas from concept to professional presentation.

CREATIVE WORK WITH HUMAN IMPACT

Our department combines studio learning, technical training, research, professional preparation, and human-centered design. Students build creative confidence while developing the skills needed for careers in fashion, merchandising, interiors, and related design industries.

CTD is an environment for students who are curious, creative, and ready to develop their point of view. Across Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, and Interior Design, our students learn to combine technical skill with research, visual communication, digital tools, collaboration, and human-centered problem solving.

We embrace new technologies and prepare students for the creative challenges ahead, but we also believe the future of design depends on what students bring as people: nuance, imagination, judgment, empathy, and the ability to understand real human needs.

Our goal is to help students use their creativity with purpose by solving problems, telling meaningful stories, and improving the lives of individuals and communities through thoughtful design.
