ABOUT THE PROGRAM

With the support of the HES Leadership Board, the Visiting Scientist Program was launched in 2017. This unique and innovative program brings leading scholars from across the globe to UA to collaborate with HES faculty members on research projects.

Apply to Participate

Applications are due to your Department Chair by October 1 (for the following Spring term) and April (for the following Fall term).

Applications that are approved by the Department Chair are due to Associate Dean, Dr. Robert Laird by October 8th or April 8th, respectively.

The below video shows Dr. Judith Danovitch from the University of Louisville, a visiting scientist in 2018. She was hosted by Dr. Jason Scofield (HDFS). The focus of their collaboration was to better understand how children share information with others.
