The VA Southern Nevada Health Care System (VASNHS) Dietetic Internship Program at the VASNHS Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada offers a supportive learning environment in a challenging and dynamic program with a focus on medical nutrition therapy and culinary excellence. Our program is designed to promote innovative, evidenced-based, patient-centered nutrition services, which prepares our graduates to be highly functioning, competent entry-level registered dietitians and future leaders in the profession of dietetics.

The program length is 10 months with at least 1280 supervised practiced hours in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, food service management and administration, and health promotion. The program begins in early August and concludes in May. Interns are paid a stipend of $15/hour, up to $25,200 during the program.
