Minor in Athletic Training

Minor in Athletic Training

Athletic trainers (ATs) are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals who provide preventive services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.

The University of Alabama minor in Athletic Training is designed to create a pathway for students and prepare them for graduate programs in Athletic Training through classroom and clinical experiences. Students will also gain skills that will be valuable if interested in pursuing advanced training in other athletic health care fields.

The minor in Athletic Training does not lead to eligibility to sit for the Board of Certification exam.
