The graduate programs in Health Studies at the University of Alabama are committed to providing a high quality, student-oriented programs. Students in Public Health will develop the skills to design, implement and evaluate health education and health promotion programs. The graduate programs are theory-driven and are based on research-related findings.

Integral in the professional preparation program at the graduate level is the commitment to ensure that students can design, implement and evaluate health education and health promotion programs to meet the Healthy People 2030 Framework, and that students meet all criteria to register for the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) exam. These goals are met through didactic course instruction and monitoring of student progress.
